“A Safe Place for Youth to Find Compassion, Trust, and Hope”
Our Program
Haven Springs Ranch provides youth ages 12–19 with the opportunity to participate in one-on-one mentoring sessions that foster healing, connection, and personal growth. Through engaging activities such as horsemanship, farming, goat care, cheesemaking, hiking, and nature observation, youth are invited to reconnect with themselves and the world around them. Sessions are 90 minutes long and typically held at the same time and day each week to create a sense of routine and stability. While individual scheduling needs are respected, consistency remains a core goal of the program.
We also hope to offer occasional two-hour workshops focused on specific topics such as trail riding, cheesemaking, or creating lotions and soaps using goat’s milk. For now, our primary focus is offering consistent, supportive weekly sessions that help youth feel seen, valued, and empowered.
Meet The Herd

Aspen
worked as a trail horse at a dude ranch for awhile. While serving as a trail horse, she became lame, and she was taken to auction. She was purchased at the auction and taken to a horse boarding facility by the new owner. The owner did not return to the boarding facility to provide food or care for Aspen, so the proprietor of the boarding facility donated Aspen to the Ranch. Aspen is a horse who absolutely loves people! She enjoys being groomed, pet, ridden, and she will listen to your thoughts and stories for hours!

Raz
is an “off the track” thoroughbred who raced for a season, but for an unknown reason was retired from racing and given to a dressage enthusiast and polo player. He enjoyed utilizing Raz in his endeavors for a short time, until while attempting a jump in the arena, Raz tore a suspensory ligament, and was unable to participate in the owner’s chosen activities. He donated Raz to the Ranch. She participated in one year of physical rehabilitation, and she is healthy and able to run and play with the other horses. Raz has a playful personality. In spite of her size, she is very gentle and likes to get to know people.

Apani
is a mustang who was removed from the Warm Springs Herd Management Area during a wild horse roundup in 2018. She was very young at the time. She was adopted from the Bureau of Land Management and she made her way home to our ranch in July, 2019. She is a sweet, engaging girl with lots of love to give.
